The Gunners are reportedly interested in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, who is a potential target in January.
After Arsenal spent Christmas at the top of the Premier League, the mood around him changed relatively quickly when he lost the next two Premier League games.
The fans are currently in fourth place and hope that some new players will join them this month to strengthen the squad.
Although many would like to see a striker, the lack of options and reports of a lack of money may have to wait until the summer.
However, the club will also be looking at other areas, with a potential new defender at the top of the list.
According to German newspaper BILD, the Gunners are keen to sign right-back Frimpong, who has been outstanding for Leverkusen in recent seasons.
TeamTalk reports that the 23-year-old has a £34 million buyout clause in his contract, which will be activated this summer.
Though Mikel Arteta signed for Jurrien Timber last season to help fix that department, the Dutch defender tore his ACL in the first game and was out of work all season.
Frimpong would offer a much more attacking option from the wingback spot, as he has qualities that Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu lack.
