Ian Wright believes yesterday’s fight between Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko is a sure sign that the Premier League season is coming to an end.
Arsenal moved within two points of leaders Liverpool after a dramatic 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, despite having played one more game.
Second-half goals from Gabriel Jesus and Bukay Sako were crucial, but Mikel Arteta’s men sweated it out in stoppage time after Taiwo Awoniyi halved the deficit.
While most of the Arsenal players celebrated at the final whistle, Zinchenko and White got into a heated argument after the Ukrainian international allegedly played with Gonzalo Montiel in the build-up to the goal.
“Obviously there was a disagreement, but I think it speaks to the fire in the belly,” Wright told Premier League Productions when asked for a reaction.
“Whatever happened, you know Zinchenko is very emotional, he’s a good player, but very emotional.
“Obviously something happened that caused problems but it will be solved and that’s the most important thing.
