Arsenal’s WSL game v Leicester- new date confirmed

Arsenal Women’s home game against Leicester City, initially scheduled for Sunday, 20 April, will now take place on Tuesday, 15 April at 7.30pm and the game will move to Emirates Stadium from Meadow Park.

With the Gunners now in the UWCL semi-final against Lyon on Saturday, 19 April, the Leicester game has been moved back to Tuesday, 15 April. It means Arsenal hit a sweet spot between not playing for three weeks before taking on Lyon due to the international break, but the game also wasn’t scheduled for Women’s FA Cup semi-final day on 13 April so both teams have a little more preparation time off the back of the international break.

Moving the game to the Emirates also gives Arsenal another game in the stadium prior to facing Lyon in the semi-final first leg on Saturday, 19 April. It also means that Arsenal have played at Meadow Park for the final time this campaign. Arsenal’s game away at Aston Villa, initially scheduled for Sunday, 27 April, will need to be rescheduled for a midweek time slot too with the Lyon second leg taking place on that day.
