Arsenal urged to swap Nketiah and bring £50m Brazilian star to Emirates, Gunners interested in signing striker – told £50 million will get deal done, Crystal Palace open up on selling winger to Arsenal
Arsenal are being asked to consider replacing Eddie Nketiah and Emil Smith Rowe with Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz.
The media made no secret of the fact that Arsenal were very interested in signing Luiz during the summer window and even made a couple of bids for him, which were quickly rejected.
The headlines are again full of rumors that Arsenal will bid for Luiz again – hoping that he will be interested in a move to a Champions League club and a club fighting for trophies.
He recently received a call-up to the Brazilian national team and there has been much speculation that Arsenal will get back into the game in the January window and make a move for the star player.
Former Gunners left-back Kieran Gibbs believes the Brazilian center-back would help Mikel Arteta’s men, who have strengthened their defense after falling from first to fourth place in the Premier League.
Gibbs told ESPN: “If you are not going to get a striker who is going to attack teams and try to destroy them, then you have to strengthen the midfield and try to shut up shop.
“They have only kept zero once in their last seven games. This is not the Arsenal we have seen in the last 18 months.
“It would probably be best if we got someone like Douglas Luiz.
And when it was suggested that Arsenal could be short of money, the former England and West Brom star added: “Yes, you can change players. There is certainly business to be done.
“There is Emile Smith Rowe. There is Eddie (Nketiah). There are other players. There is certainly business to be done.”
Arsenal interested in signing Vlahovic – told £50 million will get deal done
Juventus want £50 million for Arsenal goalkeeper Dusan Vlahovic.
With only a few days left until the end of the transfer window, Mikel Arteta will have the chance to make another move and try to sign a striker who will score every week.
ARSENAL have started the season brilliantly and are back in the hunt for the Premier League title, but seem to be 25 goals away from a season to really challenge Man City for the Premier League title.
As a result, there are constant rumors in the media linking the Gunners with the transfer of Vlahovic, who only moved to Juventus two summers ago but has been constantly linked with a departure as he has struggled to score the goals he wants.
The Serbian striker has scored six goals in 15 Serie A games for the Old Lady this season and is a man Arsenal have been linked with in previous windows, but he simply failed to seal the deal.
Sky Sports claim that Arsenal are interested in signing the striker again, but Gunners transfer chief Edo is said to be unwilling to pay more than £35 million for the Juventus player, while the Italians want £50 million.
Arsenal Favourites to sign Crystal Palace winger
Arsenal should put the most pressure on Crystal Palace to sell Michael Olise this month.
Last summer several big clubs were interested in the French youth international, who reportedly has a clause in his contract worth £35 million, but in the end he stayed and signed a new four-year contract at Selhurst Park.
However, there has been much speculation in the media that all the big clubs are interested in the striker’s transfer and that they may decide to sign him during the current transfer window.
Liverpool and Arsenal are the latest clubs to be linked with interest, but TalkSport claims that Arsenal are the favorites to try and seal a deal for the winger.
However, the Eagles are confident of keeping the former U21 international at least until the end of the season.
Pundit Jason Cundy recently claimed that Michael Olise is too good for Palace and that he is good enough to go to a big club. “I would love to talk about Michael Olise at Crystal Palace,” Cundy said on talkSPORT Breakfast.
“I think the guy could go to any team in the Premier League – including Manchester City now.
“Crystal Palace fans won’t thank me for saying it, but this guy will go to the absolute top. He is too good for Palace.
“Someone will come in for him. This boy is absolutely top class and he will go to the top.”
