Arsenal £100m transfer target for striker role reveals he's already made decision over when to sign Arsenal deal
Barring a dramatic and unforeseen transfer in the final week of the January transfer window, it looks like Arsenal will wait until the summer to find a long-term striker.
The Gunners celebrated their return to the Premier League at the weekend with a much-needed 5-0 win over Crystal Palace, silencing demands for a new striker this month.
Arsenal had previously been on a losing streak in front of goal, losing three games in a row and scoring only one goal, despite having fired more than 60 shots in that period.
While signing the No. 9 would certainly not solve all of Arsenal’s problems, which still remain despite Saturday’s win, many fans were desperate for some activity in this window. Victor Osimhen is one of the strikers being linked with a move to north London in 2024, and the Napoli striker has revealed that he has already decided on his future.
The Capaconnoniere from last season has had a frustrating season so far and is currently with Nigeria at the AFCON. Osimhen’s goal gave Napoli their first Scudetto since Diego Maradona was in town, but their title defense has been lackluster and they face a trophyless campaign.
Although Osimhen has signed a new contract with the Serie A champions, he has hinted that he will leave Napoli this summer.
